Himalayas

We’ve climbed and trekked in Nepal, India and Pakistan and love the Himalayas, not just the mountains but also the people who survive and thrive in these amazing landscapes. We go to the places you know and some you may not have heard of – and we ensure that the local teams and partners and their communities benefit from our approach and our investment.

High Atlas

High mountains and great climbing don’t need to be a long-haul flight away. We also organise climbing expeditions to the High Atlas mountains of Morocco, making the most of the winter snow cover much closer to home. The Impact Ascents ethos is still to invest in the communities that support our expeditions and to “tread lightly” in these environments.

YES – that’s what we mean by low impact

We’ve seen the worst in terms of community and environmental impact and we are determined to be the best we can. It’s not just about taking out our rubbish – our investment in the places where we travel is all about YES – that’s Youth, Education and Sustainability.

We offer financial support for local education, particularly for girls, in Pakistan and invest in the training of our porters, drivers and cooks wherever we’re travelling. For us, it’s all about taking care of the resources, people and animals that make these places so special.
